Volunteer Roles

“I love serving at the Refuge Clinic because it feels like
family helping each other.”

— Julie, Refuge Clinic Volunteer

Medical Volunteer

Use your medical expertise (Doctors, Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Nurse Assistants, etc.) to serve the community by volunteering to provide quality health care in a primary care setting to our patients.

Administrative Volunteers

If you are gifted in administration and clerical skills, help us greet and register patients upon their arrival and contact patients to make appointments.

Dental Volunteers

Dentists, Oral Surgeons, Dental Hygienists and Dental Assistants all work together in our dental facility to provide cleanings, fillings and extractions to our patients.

Spiritual Care Volunteers

If you are relational and love to encourage others, we need you! Volunteers in this area will have the opportunity to build relationships with our patients through prayer, conversation and encouragement. This can take place through a conversation in the waiting room, driving a patient to an appointment (in a Refuge vehicle), or offering prayer or encouragement to a patient who is hurting.

Behavioral Health

Mental Health is vital to the care we provide. Psychiatrists, Counselors and other mental health professionals are needed to provide these services for our patients.

Patient Advocate Volunteers

Navigate referrals made by our providers on behalf of the patient through scheduling appointments, assist patients with the necessary paperwork, communicate details, etc.

If you have any questions regarding volunteering or the volunteer process, please contact Ellen.
